On Tuesday 11th September, EFI Delegation led by Gunnar Hökmark, MEP, Chairman of EFI met an Economic Israeli Delegtion in Brussels led by Mr. Shraga Brosh, Chairman of the Israeli Economic Organizations Federation (FIEO); President of the Manufacturers' Association of Israel (MAI); CEO of J. Brosh Industries Ltd and H.E. Mr. Ran Curiel, Israeli Ambassador to the EU.

The Israeli Delegation was also comprised of Mr. Gad Propper, Chairman of the israel-European-Union Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Managing-Director of Osem International Ltd. Mr. Dan Catarivas, Director of the Division of Foreign Trade and International Relations (MAI); Coordinator of International Relations, FIEO.

The EFI's Delegation was comprised of : Mr. Charles Tannock, MEP; Mr. Paulo Casaca, MEP; Mr. Peter Stastny, MEP; Mr. Geoffrey Van Orden, MEP, Mr. Gabrielle Albertini, MEP.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss about shared interests of the Israeli and the EU sectors, among which: Palestinian-Israeli initiatives; Energy and Environment; European Neighborhood Policy; Industry & Trade; Technology Education and Training, etc.
