EFI welcomes the initiative taken by Frederique Ries, MEP, Vice-Chairwoman EFI and her Colleagues from the ALDE group for promoting the cooperation between Israelis and Palestinans. "One heart to bring peace" is an initiative to bring together Palestinian and Israeli people in the area of health cooperation.  Many Palestinian children are suffering from lethal cardiac congenital malformations. In collaboration with Israeli Hospital Hadassah in Jerusalem, a programme has been set up to enable children to be operated and to help train Palestinian doctors for such difficult operations.  

The conference organized on the 9th of January (room P7C050) from 16.30 to 19.00 will present the work and the experience of the Palestinian and Israeli doctors involved in this project. The conference will be preceded by a Press conference at 15.00 (Press room)
